I found this mouse very good and fast, but the only thing thats bothering me is the light.
There's a LED inside in the middle of the mouse pointing backwards, and the light allows you to see every detail in it. Although it doesn't bother me when I'm at the computer, its really anoying to have it on when I watch TV in my room, or when I leave my computer on while I sleep.
But if you like to have light effects, and a good mouse, look no further.

I had this mouse for about 5 years, and it was awesome! This mouse was a great discovery for my gaming life; my gaming experience is definitely better ever since I discovered this mouse and its product family.
My ex used it for FPS (Medal of Honor Allied Assault), and we both used it on Diablo II, World of Warcraft, Warcraft 3, etc. This mouse was a new experience for me: so smooth and more responsive than anything I'd ever tried before. I'm hooked on the Razer mice.
Unfortunately, the Diamondback mouse which I had spent the night in a puddle of water, courtesy of the cat. Until that point this mouse was going strong for 5 years, amazing! There were 2 laptops and a Copperhead mouse which also got to partake in the puddle. The Diamondback did not make it, and the Copperhead has been slowly dying since that point (the laser seems to have stopped lighting).
Awesome mouse, not compatible with water.
Contrasting with the Copperhead, the feel I get is that the Copperhead mouse must be slightly heavier. I prefer the feel of the longer buttons on the Diamondback because on my small hands that feeling extends back to the point where my fingers connect to my palm. The Diamondback has a flatter contour, so the feel in the palm was more natural for me. I don't like the "hump" that most mice have compared to this one, as I think it is harder on the wrist.
I have a harder time pushing the rear thumb button on the Diamondback, so for that reason I have purchased 2 Copperheads to replace the two mice which went for a swim. I think it is harder to feel the difference between the front and back thumb button on the Diamondback.
Although the Copperhead is 2000 dpi, so it should be slightly more responsive than the Diamodback, IMO there must be a weight difference or something because I felt that the Diamondback was the more responsive for my user style - albeit only by a very small margin.
Finally let me say, that the primary buttons on both mice are soft to the touch, and unlike any other mouse I have touched before.

"I bought this mouse 1-2 months ago. I had a Genius Traveler before, optical mouse, 800 dpi. I use to play Call of Duty 2, I'm in a clan and my performance is really needed in clan matches. When I had that Genius I was practically a noob, although I play for an year, I was playing like a noob. I quickly went to the store, and bought the last Razer Diamondback 3G. I got used to it quickly, and my performance got improved drastically, now clan members use to tell me that I'm good and stuff, not like before I bought the mouse. GG Razer, best mice in the world !"

This is one of the best mice I've ever used for FPS gaming. I've played from high to low sensitivity on the Diamondback 3g and it performed great no matter what. You can whip this mouse around pretty fast before you notice any negative acceleration. It's size and shape allows for any grip you use. I've gone from palm to claw with no issues. Before I had this mouse I used the Copperhead, which IMO is the same mouse except a bit bigger and has slightly better thumb buttons. But after a week the change of thumb buttons didn't bother me. I've been using this diamond back for about a year. I would have given this mouse 5 stars but like I said before, there is a point where you CAN hit some negative acceleration. But if you aren't a low sensitivity player then you'll never even hit that threshold so consider this a 5 out of 5 :)
